This website was launched with the intention to share and provide legal and business information that has an impact on self-employed creative small business owners, that would be YOU, the reader. :)  “CreatePRO” was born from “Creative” + “Professional,” a growing field of self-employed professionals.  As a result of the economic downturn and the ensuing layoffs, many people found themselves compelled to hang up a shingle and start offering their services solo, as freelancers and braving the self-employed waters.  Others are jaded by corporate life in a cubicle and take the courageous leap to go out on their own (myself included).  And still some others (perhaps the more enlightened ones!) chose this way of life out of the gate.  However you got to this point in your life, welcome!  I think we’ll become fast friends.

This website and blog will initially focus on issues affecting photographers as I am both a lawyer and a photographer, so these issues are forefront on my mind and on my daily plate.  But I will be adding other professions as I go along, including graphic designers, web developers, event planners, and the like.
